Isn’t it exciting?! While most people assumed that the election results would settle the matter, there were a savvy few who knew that this debate was just starting. I’m glad for the DNA. It keeps me busy and feeds me constant information for blogging, etc. Thanks for jumping back into the fray. We need you!

So this week the Camilla Letter came out, a letter from a teenage girl in Sacramento area to the CTA during the sick out. They actually responded, but their response is quite eye popping.

“Thanks, Sweetie, but it’s over for now. And it’s really none of your business.”

Nice huh? How great of a guy can you be when you’re sniping at some girl for a thoughtful letter.

Aren’t we supposed to be encouraging literary skills here? Political involvement? Making a difference and all that? Except when it comes to me, don’t question me. It’s actually quite a symbolic little exchange there between emails. Microcosm of the bigger problem.

Our grass roots effort was awesome! I miss it. The thing that bugs me most about this whole gay uprising is the targeting of people like us, from the grass roots.

I heard that gay activists are using donor lists to target individuals who donated to prop 8. I thought it was just sour grapes at the time, but this morning it turned into something much more than that.

This guy already lost his job this morning. We have to stand up and help support these people who are being persecuted for their personal beliefs in their employment. People need to know what’s going on.

Who is next? Where is the image of love and tolerance now?

Melissa is dead on. Go girl! It is true….this is not about society anymore when religion keeps being brought into it. Do u realize that church and state were seperated for this reason?!

the best part of this experience has been where i’ve realized that we really can help our society be better. whether or not prop 8 passes– we all need to work together to make families stronger. all families.

The idea that our public school administrators are unbiased observers in this election is a farce.

TODAY in our town, a prop 8 sign that was too close to school property was destroyed by two Conejo Valley Unified administrators. It was caught on camera.

There’s no way they can say that they are unbiased in this debate. The ferocity and cruelty shows through. This is who runs our schools. This is the face of tolerance.

In some ways with tolerance laws being the way they are, with these kinds of people enforcing them, some of our control over education really has been lost. I think this fight will continue, and should continue after the election. We need to repeal tolerance laws that equate tolerance with promotion.
